Have you found weathered wood on the beach, found an old door with peeling paint particularly great or do you love ramshackle buildings? If you like this shabby look, then Dixie Belle seaspray and saltwash are just right for you.
The processed surfaces or lamps, plant pots, old furniture, wooden boards, but also metal surfaces, plastic, etc. then look like they have been forgotten on the beach for 100 years and kissed by nature.
The products are natural, VOC-free and made from sea salt. You stir it into paint (milk paint, mineral paint or chalk paint). You achieve the mixing ratio with the measuring cup. Decide for yourself whether your painting project should be more delicately structured or rustic.
Apply the mixture with a brush or spatula. After drying, you can influence and adjust the result with sandpaper. I personally love a rusty look with structure. I recently designed a chest of drawers in this style. You see her in the video.
Another application hack: A great trio is Dixie Belle Chalk Paint , Saltwash®, Dixie Belle seaspray , Stencils, and Dixie Belle Patina , which can also be used to create REAL rust. Wow, what a cool combination. Try it out now!
