Dab the paint vertically onto the stencil pattern from above. Less is more! This means that no excess ink runs under the stencil and the lines of the pattern remain sharp. If you use water-based chalk paint, then wash the stencil and the brush very quickly with brush soap or washing-up liquid. Soak in a bowl of lukewarm water immediately after use to prevent the paint from drying out. Then gently wash off with a soft sponge or hand washing brush.

Do not clean with chemical cleaning agents, in water that is too hot or put in the dishwasher. Then you destroy them.

Another tip. You can use stencil spray to stick them to the project. Then it fits particularly well and does not slip when painting. I attach large templates with masking tape.
