Every fashion-conscious woman knows the houndstooth pattern from coats and dresses. It is all the nicer to finally be able to bring this classic to your furniture. The transparency of the Belles and Whistles stencil makes it easy to place and adjust when stenciling.

Try the 3D metallic structure pastes, order a stencil brush . Use it to dab the chalk paint vertically onto the pattern from above. Less is more! This means that no excess paint runs under the stencil and the lines of the pattern remain sharp. If you use water-based chalk paint, then wash the stencil and the brush very quickly with detergent and lukewarm water. I put them in a bowl of water immediately after use so the paint doesn't even dry. Then I wash off the stencil with a soft sponge and a small hand washing brush.
